A portrait of my friend, Atlanta artist Ivy Wu, based on photographs of her in a peach orchard a couple years ago, as she presses a peach to her forehead to feel the coolness of the fruit and "commune with nature." The canvas itself is 24" x 18." The frame adds about two inches to the top and sides. It is done in oil, with bright colors in the summer sun.
